Introducing: The Chord Monster

 

The Chord Monster is a great new tool that allows both seasoned professionals and absolute beginners to easily and instantly play the most commonly used chords used in music. It can be used for ear training, practicing solos, helping with songwriting,education, whatever you like!

 

Want to know what an A#maj7/C chords sounds like? Or what a D-7b5 chord sound like right next a G7/B, resolving to a C major? Want to try to solo over a A#sus2 chord with a G# in the bass? Then check it out:

The version above is for regular computers, and not suitable for tablets. Click to load in the Chord Monster for your Android Device. Tablets are suggested, and please note that you'll need a decent internet signal connection for optional performance.


Currently it features the 10 of the most common chords (Major, Minor, Dominant 7, Major 7, Minor 7, Minor 7b5, Sus2, Sus4, Diminished and Augmented) and are available with all 12 root notes so you can create inversions.

 

You can also assign any root note you would like to any chord. In all, there are 1440 chords instantly available at your fingertips.

 

Coming soon: a version that allows you to easily make a sequence of chords you'd like, with a total of 68 different kinds of chords, not just 10.

 

This is a prototype of an exciting app/music community we are currently working on, which will have countless features and benefits for songwriters, arrangers, players, sound engeineers and people who just like music.
